The Risk Interconnection Map (RIM) 2010 is a great interactive infographic that allows you to view the likelihood, potential impact, and relationship between dozens of global catastrophes. The data is extraordinary and thought provoking. I love how the “web-like” structure prompts you to explore the impacts that different risks have on each other. The key on the left side of the screen provides a wealth of valuable data relating to each risk, my only issue is that I would love to be able to click on those items and select or sort the risks by their likelihood/severity index. As a bonus, the simple color coding, line weight, and transition animations make it very easy on the eyes. {via infosthetics}
